The university was officially established in 1912 but certain departments, such as the Health Sciences Department, were founded many years before. Moreover, the Nursing Department was inaugurated in 1898 and University of Colorado School of Dentistry started to grow even more, until it was officially registered as one whole body of education in 1912.
